You can get it out now but you will have to pay a penalty for early withdrawl of the money. Check with who you have your retirement account with for the details on how to withdraw all or some of the money.
Many retirement plans have a disability option. If you have been affiremd to be totally disabled, you may be able to get the money out without penalty. Talk to the plan admins about your options.
