Unfortunately most of the original chocolate cell phones had lots of problems with the sensors. You can try to take it back to the service carrier that your phone is on and try to have them exchange it for you. But only if you got the phone within the last year. I had the same problems with my original chocolate and after they kept exchanging it the finally just gave me the new chocolate.

The entire Chocolate phone series has had problems with the touch sensors, both the original Chocolate, the Choco. 2 AND the Choc. 3. I have had problems like this, and I didn't even drop mine! I would definitely go back to your carrier (most likely Verizon) and ask them to either replace it with a new Chocolate, or exchange it for a new brand of phone completely, say, the Decoy, which is equipped with bluetooth, AND a BUILT-IN bluetooth headset, you just have to pop it off the back. Pretty sweet if you ask me... Hope this helps.

    Check out the decoy here:

I brought it in and they sent it out for 3 weeks... I was like wow its probably less to give me a new phone than to do that.. but no I don't get a phone for 3 weeks lol
