    Double Effective Emergency Contraceptive
I've had unprotected sex multiple times during the past week, which started on my period. I've never been pregnant and never really worry that I am. However I was researching the chances of getting pregnant while menstruating and immediately after and decided to take measures because sperm can live up to three days before causing a pregnancy. I bought Plan B and a bunch of spermicide. Does anyone know if this is effective- or has anyone known a case where a woman takes plan B and still turns up pregnant? Any feed back would be helpful, I'm not the most fertile of women, but you never know- I just wanted to nip a potential problem in the bud!

Well, one of my questions is answered:

NO. Neither the use of spermicide after ejaculation, nor water and soap an prevent the occurrence of pregnancy. The reason is that sperm cells are immediately taken up by the cervical mucus, allowing them to penetrate in the womb and protecting them from external damage.
