Small red spots on penis, not itchy.
    Hi,

After any help before I go to the clinic later on this week.

Noticed a few small red spots (2mm or so) on penis over last week or so, not really that noticeable, mainly on the front of the penis, about 6 in total, one which is more visible as it's lower than the rest. Not really raised and cannot be squeezed, they don't itch or anything either.

I had scabies about 3 weeks ago and was affected around mid area if this could be any relation (was treated for that although still itch occasionally).

    Help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks

This question is a common one on this site and many others. We men get concerned with anything that happens in that area, and rightly so. Small red spots which are not itchy are usually nothing more than irritated hair follicles or something called "Fordyce Spots"

    Quote:

small (1-5mm) bright red or purple papules that can appear on the glans, shaft or scrotum and which usually affect younger men. They may occur as a solitary lesion, but frequently appear in crops of 50 to 100. They are painless and not itchy, but may cause embarrassment because of their appearance, or a fear that they might be sexually transmitted – which they are not! They are abnormally dilated blood vessels, covered by thickened skin. They may bleed if injured or even during intercourse. They are not infectious and their cause is unknown.

It is good that you went to the Doctor to check it out. It's always better to feel safe with a diagnosis from a good check up.
