What could be causing sewer odors inside, and around the outside of my home? I have a single story with a crawl space. I only notice it when it's hot outside. When the village pumped out the sewer there was a horrible sewer odor inside the home. I was told that when pumping out the sewer this odor should not have entered the home.

If you don't live downwind from the plant then the odor could be coming into your house through a floor drain trap that has lost its seal. If the smell persists you could insttall a running trap,(see image) just downstream of the house clean out. Good luck, TomQuote:
