PH Level in your body & pregnancy
    Good afternoon,

I am trying to fall pregnant, but am battling at the moment. Somebody once told me that your body's ph level could sometimes be too acidic and thus kill any sperm. Could anyone please confirm or deny this statement?

Your assistance would really be apprecated.

    Tx.

I don't know that it helps with pregnancy but it is always good to have balanced PH

You can buy strips to keep checking your PH balance

This is true... throughout most of your cycle, the pH in your vagina will be quite low... this causes it to be more acidic and why sperm only live a very short time. When you get close to ovulation, your levels will shift to a higher pH and cause the vagina to become more alkalinic... this is what sperm are used to and thus will allow them to survive for a few days as they wait for the egg to be released. If pregnancy doesn't occur, you have your period and things shift again and it becomes more acidic again until the next fertile stage just before ovulation.
