I've missed a pill! Could I be pregnant?
I'm 15 and I'm on the pill. I have been on the pill for about 3 months. On Saturday (yesturday) I wanted to come off the pill because I thought I was too young to be on it & didn't want it to effect me if I was on it for too long, so I didn't take it. This morning me & my boyfriend had unprotected sex. I didn't take today's pill either. I thought I would still be protected as it was still in my system. Will I get pregnant? Do I need to take the morning after pill?

On the pill or off - if you have unprotected sex - you can get pregnant.

Well I work in a pharmacy and when you miss a pill usually you should take it as soon as your remember, but since your saying you missed it two days in a row that's a little different. Depending on which pill it is depends on what to do. If you kept your insert from your birth control you can look there otherwise get the morning after pill within 72 hrs or call the pharmacy and ask what to do

    Clarice,

There is no way of telling as everyone's body is different. Chances are that you are not pregnant, but there are no guarantees. Follow the instructions on taking your pills for missing one and don't have unprotected sex.

If you think you are too young for the pill then you are certainly too young for the morning after pill. You therefore need to consider whether you are too young to have sex given your uncertainty with the choices you are making.

    Just food for thought.

If you miss a pill and now two, yes you can be pregnant, if you miss a pill you have to wait till the end of the next month, a full month of being on it.

And I guess if you though you were too young to be on the pill, did that not mean you were too young to be having sex?

And also the pill just by itself is not 100 percent, even the pill with a condom is not 100 percent but it is about as close. We even have a couple experts here that got pregnant while on the pill correctly and using a condom.

    Just remember SEX equals Baby

If your too young to take a pill you think, then you shouldn't really at all even think of having unprotected sex at all.

You're too young for the pill, are you too young to be a mother? Think about this. Trust me, the effects of the pill are no where near as bad as what a pregnancy can do to you at your age. If you aren't ready to take responsibility then you shouldn't be having sex.

As for getting pregnant, of course you can, there's always that chance, even while you're on the pill, it isn't 100% effective, only abstinence is.

So, now you get to play the waiting game, and hope that you haven't been hit by a bolt of lightening.

    Good luck.
