    Gas dryer problems
Hi I have never had a gas dryer before it is an older maytag model dg8200 w/an intermittent ignition device. Got the gas connected, turned it on and nothing happened, no light no flame no heat... its supposed to be in good working condition am I doing something wrong or what could be wrong with it?

Who installed, was gas line bled of possible air, is gas valve on, is ignitor actually sparking?

We installed, no gas line was not bled, valve is on and no the ignitor is doing nothing. How do you bleed the gas line?

To bleed gas line open line close to dryer, turn on valve for few seconds to let gas push out any air in pipe and fill pipe with gas. Then tighten connection, check for leak. Igniter should be making little sparks to ignite gas pilot light. Pilot light then open gas valve. Since pilot light so small, take a long time for gas to push out all air in gas line through pilot. Again igniter should be making little sparks to light pilot.
