    Well that is exactly the problem My girlfriend is polish and I'm portuguese not married but want to apply for a portuguese passport,what exactly is the procedure when it comes to apply for a passport for a 2 month old baby?

    Things would be much easier if you get married.

    Bring notarized copies of marriage registration, the baby's birth certificate, passports to the nearest embassy to register birth of Portuguese citizen overseas. Bring the baby for photograph at the same time. This is short, simple procedures.

    In case you don't want to get married, contact the embassy for further info.
