Make sure you have selected the correct paper source from within the "Page Setup" pop-up.
There could be a few different things going on here. I'll start with the easiest to check out and that is to check the Paper Feed Source. You can do this by simply looking at the control panel and determining it the top tray is lit or the bottom tray is lit. You can also check further through the Printer Properties.
There are two trays, which some people don't realize. You have a cassette tray at the bottom and the sheet feeder at the top. Check to make sure the tray you want paper to come from is selected on the control panel of your machine.
If you are having trouble feeding paper from the sheet feeder unit, try switching to the cassette and see if it will feed there. If you are having trouble feeding from the cassette try the sheet feeder unit.
You can also attempt to clean the sheet feeder roller, just a damp cloth with purified water is best.
Also, check to see if anything feel down into the sheet feeder unit. It may simply be that the sheet feeder motor or other parts of the assembly have malfunctioned and will no longer work.
I have a sheet feeder unit available for the IP 3000 if you are interested in attempting a repair yourself.

No, the problem is somewhere else, but I still haven't found it.Quote:
