A/C not coming on and its getting HOT
OK so I have been on this site for about 2 hours now reading over everyone's questions and I have tried a few.

Here is my problem the a/c just stopped working. It was working before we went out to dinner and came home to a HOT house. The air is set at 78 as always at it is at 90 degrees! I have checked the circuit breaker and it is fine *I reset it just to make sure* I keep reading about fuses?? Where are fuses, my circuit breaker does not have a fuse for the a/c just 2 other areas. I have gone outside and checked out the unit, it is fine *no leaks, noises etc* IT JUST Won't COME ON! And I went into the attic and I don't even know what I am looking at just a tin box that says heating and cooling.

I also just replaced the thermostat and NOTHING!

PLEASE HELP WE NEED TO GET TO BED AND ITS HOT!

    THANKS!!

Is the blower the "unit" outside if so no, the brand is Comfortmaker and has a 10 on it.

ALSO my attic is cool WTH? I went up there to look at that "tin box" again and took the cover off and it stopped making noise and then I put it back on and it made the same low noise and then a louder one came off and turned off again. UGH!

Do you have any air coming out of the registers?
