Must find this painting. Title unknown!
    Hello everyone!

I am desperate to find a painting that I loved years ago in my Art Appreciation class, but I do not know the official title OR artist. I will describe the painting and if ANYBODY could help lead me into a direction, I'd greatly appreciate it! I've googled myself to death looking for this...

The painting is almost renaissance/pre-raphaelite/baroque (but softer) in style. It is two girls (sisters or twins) sleeping or resting on a couch or settee indoors. The girls are facing each other and their arms are reached towards one another. The coloring is soft. The girls MIGHT be wearing the same clothing, either same color or style. It is fine art. NOT a photograph. It is a painting. If it was in an art appreciation book, it must be somewhat known, right?

Does this sound familiar to anyone?? Please help! Once I find it, I will buy a huge print of this piece.

    Thanks! :) :) :) :) :)

If it was in an art appreciation class or maybe even a book, then I'm sure that it must be somewhat known. Is there anything else that you could tell us about it, please? Like, were there any main colors (mood inducing), possible age of the girls and style of clothing and hair, please?

We don't guarantee results here, but we can try!

This site has an unbelievable collection of painters' names, works, dates...

You might find something useful there. There is also a forum, and someone might know the painting you're looking for.

    Art Renewal International

    Good luck!

The site mentioned in the answer above is an excellent resource for art! I am also hopeful that leelee83 will return to answer the questions that have been asked so that his site can also be used as a resource in finding out about art.

It's really a treasure for anyone interested in classical realist art.

They do a lot of good there, too.

I've known a lot of the owners of the affiliated schools here in florence, as well as many of their students. They are absolutely phenomenal places to study. I've also seen fred ross, the man who runs the ARC, speak at an opening at the Angel Academy. One of my very good friends is also a teacher there. I've taken classes at Charles Cecil Studios, too. They also give free art history lectures during the school year. Florence academy is also fantastic.

Lots of the people connected with these schools frequent the site, and I think it would be hard to find a place with more knowledgeable painters all in one room.

Yes, let's hope he comes back! :)
