Water from shower head when running tub
I've installed a Price Pfister shower valve and am getting water from the shower head when running the tub. I have checked to make sure its installed correctly. It is. I have changed the cartridge and O-rings finally even put a brand new valve in. I'm still getting water through the shower head. I've talked to every plumber I can run into and no suggestions have worked out yet. Anybody have any clues at all?

Is the diverter in the valve or in the spout? How long is the shower raiser from the valve to the shower arm? What's the house pressure? This problem could happen if t6he diverter was on the spout and the shower raiser was too short or the house pressure was too high. My bet's on the house pressure. What is it? Regards, Tom

Are you saying you installed a new shower valve and have already replaced the O rings and cartridge? I would have returned the entire valve under warrantee. Tell us more.

I'd put my money on a blockage or restriction in the tub spout piping.
