Hi I am 27 years old I had my 1st C -section delivery 3 months back...
After that I bleeded for 6 weeks,though it was light..
I resumed my periods afetr 2.5 months but it lasted only for 2 days and I am just spotting though before my conception I had heavy periods which lasted for 5 days!

I am not exclusively breastfeeding and giving my baby formula also.
Can anyone suggest me the reason for this as I have heard that periods after delivery are rather quite heavy!!

I did not have your problem after I had my c-section. But, it is sometimes "normal" for this to happen with your hormones going back to normal . Your doctor can precribe a mild birth control pill to help you get back to normal. And after you are on the pill for a few months it should go back to normal , but, if you decide to stop be awaare that is is easier mor then likely to get pregnant after you stop the pill do use protection if you do not want to have another baby at this point. As far as the flow of it, I have not noticed a change in the flow it is abiut the same but, they are shorter and I don't have bad cramps like I use to have whil on my period. I hope this helps you!
