First. People sue regardless right or wrong.
Second. People interpret things on how they want it to be, not necessary base on any reality. Usually people interpret things base on their past experiences and education. Nice people will interpret things nicely. Angry people, angrily.

Unlikely, I'd get a lawyer. You can run, but you can't hide, they will find you, so better to deal with it head on and hope for the best, then to tuck tail and run, have them find you and have two belmishes on your record.

Any good detective can find you provided you did not change your name but just your address. If you are innocent of the malpractice, hire an attorney to defend you. You should have had malpractice insurance anyway even if you were a resident.

Look at it like "a process" and see your way through with your head up. How would you hide, anyway?

I will first give a moral judgement, I hope the AMA reads this, finds you and you lose your license for ethics violation of not being legally responsible for your actions. And I would certainly hope no doctor I ever use has such poor judgement that they will prefer to try and hide instead of facing their responsibility

Don't matter if you hide and they don't find you, after a point they will merely post it in the newspaper of the suit and you will be sued without you being there. You will lose and a large judgement will be assigned against you. Most likely your insurance will not pay at this point since you did not notify them of the action to allow them to deal or defend the action.

Next if you have a medical license all they have to do is search the national data base. Check with the last place you practiced as to where you went. So I guess if you are not licensed, only work for cash and don't rent or have electric in your name, you may hide.

Is there an earlier post? I think I'm missing something here -

Based on just this I have no idea what's going on -

Why would a legal board give info on how to avoid a summons (avoid the process)? This should be posed on the illegal board. Or poor judgment board. Or guilty person trying to run board. Not this board.

If you are innocent of whatever this is about I'd think you'd want your day in Court to prove your innocence.

Or whatever you're talking about.
