    Stuff coming out of faucet
I was at a hotel in West Chester PA recently and when I filled the tub there were small round textured blobs floating in the water. It looked like raw sewage to me. I called the front desk to alert them of my concern and the person said "can't be" to my thought it was raw sewage, and then told me it was rust.

I stay in this hotel every month, I know what rust looks like. Having said that I can't find any information about sewage coming out of the faucet. Is that possible? What would be the cause?

I can't say I have ever seen anything like it.

I stayed in West Chester and sailed out of Marcus Hook on tankers in the 40's.
Describe the "blobs" Did they smell? More then likely this was mineral deposits that had broke off from pipe walls and came out your spout. If it were sewage you would have people down and sick and the lawsuits would break the hotel chain. Regards, Tom
