    Black spots on tomatoes
My neighbor has tomatoes and grapes... both still green. They have black spots on them... some of the spots are raised almost like tree bark and some are like little black holes in the fruit.. . she has many plants and almost all is like that also different variates
Anybody have an idea of what it could be and how to fix it? Thanks

Hi... could be a fungi or maybe a small weavel( pest)

I had a similar thing a few years ago having grown several tomatoe plants in a grow bag,
They came on just fine until I looked closer, realizing that they to were covered in blackspots ,a bit like roses get, which is usually mildew, anyway looking closer still they also had holes with tiny sort of beetles coming out of them.

It was a real shame because they were huge, lovely and ripe but sadley un-eatable.

I had to bin the lot...

I think I'll go over and cut one open... my little neighbor is 85 years old and I doubt she could see a small worm.

Were they all in it or just one bug?

Hi again... don't worry there quite visible, the fact that the holes are also fairly big is a dead give away..

I cut a few open, no worms. A few palnts have been hit and the rest are OK.
She has some marked to see if they are going to spread ove rthe entire plant.
