Almost 3 years and no Divorce
    [F]

Well, I am 29 years old and want a divorce from my loser husband who lied, cheated and abused me while we were together. I filled for divorce and the lawyer I used at the end said the county he was in no longer allowed for the divorce to go threw without the other's signature. I have spent allot on money in this attempt and gotten no where. My husband lives in Ohio and I live in Pa. we have been separated for nearly 3 years and have not lived together since Aug. 4, 2005. We have a daughter together he doesn't see her or pay child support for her even though it is court ordered. I am looking for advice on where to go or who to talk to in the Lehigh Valley, Pa. to get a speedy and cheap divorce. I have moved on with my life and would like to get married again, but this has a big snag in the plan. My husband never tells his new girlfriends of his status(Married), can I posted a local ad in a newspaper in his city telling if you know him or talk with him please have him sign the divorce papers. Is it legal or not. Please help...
    Thank you,

You cannot notify him by printing a notice in the newspaper - if you cannot locate him by any other means you CAN get a Court Order to notify him in this manner.

If you are looking for an Attorney in your area you'll have to go through the phone book, talk to Attorneys, pick one. Attorneys sponsor this site and possibly there is one in your area.

I don't understand why you needed your hsuband's signature in order to divorce him. It is absolutely not a requirement - default and contested divorces are granted all the time. I have no idea what your Attorney was talking about.

I don't know why they are telling you that
Legal Grounds for Divorce in Ohio

    1. No Fault Divorce:
    1. Incompatibility, unless denied by the other spouse (or)
    2. Living separate and apart without cohabitation and without interruption for 1 year
[Ohio Revised Code Annotated; Section 3105.01].

I would think that the divorce would be under Pa law if you got married in Pa.
Didn't know that where he resides now made a difference.

1-888-2PA-DIVORCE $195. Flat fee uncontested divorce
