I was recently arrested for grand theft, I have never been in trouble with the law ever before Im a single mom of three and I was going through a very hard time, Can I get a lesser charge rather than a felony, I'm trying to get back in school and my life str8 for me and my kids. I feel grand theft is a little extreme!

If you did the crime, I think you could ask to plea bargain to a lesser sentence.
How much was what you stole worth? What state are you in?
