    Hvac-Can you use the same copper tubing when changing from r-22 to r-410a

    My understanding: R-410a uses a synthetic lubricant which is not compatible with the lubricant used by R-22. When mixed, they become corrosive and corrode the copper and other metal involved from the inside, out. There is a "flushing" procedure to use before converting from one to the other. My experience is over the longer term,(years), it's not 100% effective. Try searching ASHRAE, maybe you can find some info/help. Good luck...

    Yes you can with the proper flushing as was mentioned before. My choice would be to replace the copper line set and be done with it.
