I have a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 reg. cab, SB 3.9 V6 5 speed man. The engine temp and the fuel gauge give erratic readings. When you accelerate the readings increase, when you decelerate, they drop, please help, thank you.

That sounds like an electrical issue. There could be a loose or corroded connector or ground. This could be tricky to find. Begin by inspecting the harness in and around the engine for obvious signs of damage or deterioration. Next, look under the dash for loose connectors. See if that reveals anything and let us know.
