I have been researching monobenzone extensively for months now and as much as I hate to admit it, I don't see the point in monobenzone. I would love to lighten my skin but why do so if once I stop applying monobenzone, my skin will just hyperpigment back to even darker than I was before? I have a light olive skin tone and do not want to go darker. So many people on here say they are using mono or are going to use mono, but I hope you people do realize to keep your results you will have to apply it for the rest of your lives (thats what I've learned from people, I've never tried it). Mono isn't exactly a readily available product, it is disappearing in more and more online stores, meaning one day it could be gone(without prescription). Or is there another way to maintain your new skin color?

You are not supposed to stop applying any skin lightener if you want to STAY light.

It's called maintenance.

You won't have to apply it as much later down the road, but still, it requires up-keeping.

And you can get mono powder and mix your own lotion, like most people without a prescription do.

Yes for those who just want to lightning... like few shades of there bodies.

But for Those ( like me :) ) your want a complete depigmentation, it's not necessarily to have to keep it up after your final ''War''.Maybe a little bit, 1 or 2 times by week for generally 1-2 years.Then after it's a permanently effect.It is Impossible for the skin to ''reback'' and produce some ''color'' under and one your skin.Because all the melanocynthe ( the cells that create melanin ) are Destroyed, gone, and that for Ever. ;)

I hope this is so winterwolf... I've heard the body always produces melanocytes to replace the ones that are killed or damaged.

Yes, when you are trying for erased it off,In the middle of the race.

The body,in my opinion,can just not create some new cells out of nowhere when they are all ( when I mean all is All the whole body) destroyed.

So it is why they said, it's a irreversible path.

Its said that mono is suppose to destroy the meloncytes permanently, but I don't know anyone that has fully depigged everyone seems to be in the process, so I can't truel say that I know someone that has successfully depigged via mono usage.

I have heard of people who did depig complelely but it has taken some years, like 5-7 years with using mono. During the process, the skin would get brown patches and try to repig and stuff like that. NOw they have to trully advoid lots of sun light. I must say once their were depigged, it was well worth it according to them.
