Hi,

I came to United States through Company A in March 2005 on an H1B visa. My company applied for a change of status to L1B in March 2006. I have the current petition of L1B valid until March 2009.

My visa (L1B) has not been stamped since I have not left United States since I came here in March 2005 on H1B. I am in process of trying to switch to company B on H1B and wanted to know if my prospective employer can just transfer me to H1B or are there any steps involved before that I can be done.

I wanted to make sure I had the facts before applying for positions. Please help me with this.
