    Tub drain
Is reorienting p-trap 90 degree to the drain line up to code?

I am installing a new whirlpool tub that requires a drain offset from an existing one and the easiest way to connect the new p-trap to the existing line is to add a 90 degree elbow to it. Is this acceptable?

Yes, however I would suggest using a short sweep instead of a 90 degree elbo. Good luck, Tom
