I am 6 and a half months pregnant and the father of my baby left me when I was three months pregnant. He told me to keep him informed about our baby. Everything that I found out about our baby I wrote and told him by text message. He never responded. He never answered the phone when I called to talk about her. He just ignored me completely. Well, one day he writes me for the first time telling me that he wanted to call. The only reason he called was to tell me he has a girlfriend. He never wanted to talk about our baby which lead me to believe that he wasn't interested, but I still tried. Well, I had heard a lot about his girlfriend (about how she has three kids but only has custody of one and how she is known by the police in a bad way. That she does drugs.) well, I told the father that I wanted to OK her before they could take my daughter. One day out of the blue his girlfriend calls me. We talked and got along good and everything. She said that she did things in her past and lost custody of two of the kids but didn't tell me what. But we got along. Well, three days later I call the father to tell him that I found out the sex of my baby. She answers and goes off on me, cussing me and telling me that she needs to know what I'm calling about before I can talk to him. Well, then I hung up and called him back at a later time. She answered again and said he wasn't there. So I call his mom and told her to tell him to call me. She got a hold of him right off the bat and she said he was home. It took him an hour to even call me. He defended her told me that she only answered the phone and blah blah blah. Well, I told him that I wasn't doing this. I wasn't going to keep calling him to keep him informed like he wanted me to when he is ignoring me and acting like he doesn't care and I'm not fighting with her every time I call. I'm pregnant and don't need the stress. I told him that I didn't want him around my baby. He siad "ok" and we hung up. He calls me later and tells me that he knows I don't like her because he's with her and all this crap. I told him that I didn't care! I liked her at first. But she flipped just like that over me calling him. Well, when he called he only wanted to defend her find out why I don't like her and stuff, but he didn't once say that he wanted our baby. He just doesn't care. Well, I went a month and a half without talking to them his girlfriend CREATES a myspace page to find me and tells me that I need to delete him from my page and that I am obsessive for having him on my page and that I need to move on cause he doesn't want me. Well, at first I thought maybe she found me on his page and got mad. No, his page is private and there is no way for her to see his friends because she isn't on his list so that means she went to the search and searched for me. Looked through my friends list, found him, and wrote me. Now tell me who is obsessive? I haven't talked to them in a month and a half! My question is is there anyway that I can keep her from seeing my baby but allow the father to? I know that in the end it is best for me to let my baby see her dad, but I just do not trust this girl!

You would need to get a court order stating that your child can't be around her. That will take money and a lawyer. I know how you feel. It seems like she is bipolar, one minute she's nice and you are talking, and the next she is pissed.

I wouldn't go out of my way to inform him of anything. His girlfriend burned that bridge for now at least. Let him get the bright idea of him going and applying for child visitations.
If he demands to see your baby then tell him go for visitations. Then when you are in court tell the Judge your concerns about her past and suggest supervised visits.
You can also request a designated drop of place for the visitation exchanges.
I really don't think there is much you can do about her being there during visitations unless the Judge orders she not be around the baby.

When the child is born you file for full custody. If he tries for visitation you petition for only supervised visitation.
