I had sex with my husband 2 days ago on the first day of ovulation as well as last night... today I am having a pinky brown discharge kind of jelly like. Is it implantation bleeding so early after ovulation... can I be pregnant?

No, it takes several days for implantation... might just be from the sex, bleeding sometimes happens, could also be from ovulation.

I have very light brown discharge that is mainly on the tissue a day after ovulation, had it for two days now. I'm 39 and so worried it's the start of a period which is not a good sign at my age with menopause to think of. On the first day of the discharge I had a small amount of blood which then turned into brown, I also had a pain in my side for around an hour, could this be a sign of ovulation?

Hi anne211,

Yes, it may be due to ovulation. Some women will experience some cramping or pain, usually on one side with some light spotting around the time of ovulation. For some this happens every cycle, for other women it may happen just once in awhile, for others not at all.

Thank you for your message Doulal most appreciated. At 39 I am so aware getting pregnant will not be easy, so getting two periods within 16 days would be very concerning, so let's hope it is ovulation bleeding, which I have had in the past, just not very light brown discharge.
