    To report birth outside US, you must contact US embassy with the following documents;

    • birth certificate, translated and notarized
    • marriage registration, notarized copy
    • ID of you and your spouse

    After that you must apply for US passport for the baby to be able to take him/her back to US. It may take more than 6 weeks to get US passport, so check with the embassy first or you may get stuck there with the baby.
