Fan shuts off / Air Conditioning
    Hi,

I have a Goodman. When I turn on the A/C it runs for a few minutes then the fan stops working. The compressor still runs. We have replaced the fan motor, blade and the condenser. We also checked the fuses and they are OK. I sure hope you can help us, it has been over 100* degrees where I live.

    Thank You,
    Niece

Is it a A/C only or a heat pump model?
Provide model number and thermostat model and brand.

Did you replace the capacitor when replacing the motor?
Is the motor turning in the correct rotation?
Is the new fan blade designed for your unit?

Sometimes a new fan blade will cause a motor overload and it will get hot and shut off on the motor safety IF the fan blade has to high a pitch or if the fan blade is on backwards not moving enough air to cool the motor.

Yes, I do have a very similar problem too. It just started today. When I turned on the unit (Rheem) I noticed the fan turns on for 15 seconds and stop about 45 sec and the fan started again for 15 seconds and the went on and on. The compressor was running smoothly. What seems to be the problem with this?

Scalpel, you would get better results if you started your own thread. Anyhow, it would have to be a short somewhere, does it always cycle off and on at the same times?
