I get dry when having sex.
Hello. I'm 23 years old I've notice recently that I haven't enjoyed my sexual experiences. I have been with my partner for about 9 months. Recently when having sex with him I get dry really fast and we have to stop. I haven't had an orgasm in a while and most of the time actually all the time he gets off. I like sex and if I had an option I would have sex every day. I'm not sure if its me or if it's the birth control that I've been using for the past 6 months. I was wondering if any one can give me pointers. Thanks, Melina

First of all it could be the birth control pills, it could be him, it could be you but you can use an enhancer such as astroglide which is a good one for lubrication. You are only 23 so you can't put this problem down to age unless you are on other meds that are new to you. If you have a good rapport with your doctor, ask him to advise or recommend. Don't worry about it and just use a substitute so you can enjoy each other again.

About using en enhancer/ lubrication I bought some and he said he didn't trust and thought it was weird to use lub in privete parts so we haven't used them. It seems like his very picky when it comes to sex. Thanks for your advice.

Do you have saliva on your genitals when you begin intercourse? How long do you both engage in stroking... five minutes, fifteen minutes, how long?

Are you getting bored with your partner? Any undisclosed resentments between the two of you?

Birth control was one of the pieces of my sexual history that FREED ME. When I first started having sex, there were no birth control pills, and my mind was always partly on "precautions"... I don't think birth control would be a negative in expressing your sexual self fully, that is my opinion.

I think saliva being mostly h2o and bacteria infested cr*pola is drying to mucous membranes.

Anyway, a few thoughts on your problem.

I wish you the best, every woman deserves to have a wonderfully orgasmic sex life. :)

The only thing I'd want to say, not necessarily in correction to Choux, but as an addendum: Birth control pills affect your hormones, and therefore CAN make you dryer than you normally would be. Switching pills can sometimes change that problem.

However, my thought on this overall is that you have a selfish lover, and that if he isn't going to use lube, then he can use his mouth to make you wet--or you can offer to kick him in the balls prior to sex so he can understand that sex can be unenjoyable (if not painful) if there isn't proper stimulation/wetness/whatever.

There are various ways to make yourself wet while he is still thinking about sex. Try stimulating your clitoris and thinking naughty thoughts. Possibly this guy is only interested in missionary style, right, and does not offer any stimulating ideas or procedures that will get you wet. If you are at least interested in your own gratification go for just about anything you can think of. He doesn't have to know you are using Astroglide. A tiny bit on the tip of your finger and applied will do the trick. You don't like tricking him ? Oh, heck, just go ahead if you want a good orgasm. It's a two way street, love, and women can play the same game. Many men have done it and rolled over and said goodnight without even thinking.

Sometimes I do have saliva. Usaully its about five minutes. I'm not bored of him I like him a lot. And yes lately there has been some resentments.
