I have 7 felony counts (7 bad checks totaled over 5,000) I live in Georgia.I had no other charges prior to writing these checks. I now want to substitute teach at my son's school but this feliny will show up,and that would be embarrising for both. It has been 12 years. I completed my probation with no problems and paid all the checks off.what are my chances of getting this off my record?:confused:

I find this - "Georgia has very unforgiving laws when it comes to record clearing (pardons, expungement and record sealing). There are only two things that can be cleared from your criminal record in Georgia: (1) arrests that did not lead to a conviction (you must not have any other conviction within the past 5 years to be eligible) and (2) juvenile records where you were not adjudicated delinquent. "

Most likely no, you will not be able to, and yes, it will show up on a background check. You can talk to a local attorney and see if that court will consider doing anything
