Our unfinished basement has rough-ins for a toilet, sink and shower. I'm trying to determine if a small, 32 sq ft bathroom will be adequate or if the layout is too small. I could enlarge the space but the plumbing rough-ins really limit the "business" space in the room.

I've uploaded digital photos and a basic at Picasa Web Albums - Donna - Basement. The two existing walls are concrete block and I would have to frame in the walls in blue. The 9 ft walls underneath the dotted line represent the staircase leading upstairs.

There are hot/cold supply lines in the top wall with a door. If the basement layout is OK, what is the best way to run water to the shower? Is it necessary to frame in a wall behind the shower (and sink) to run the line and hide the connections?

Any help would be very appreciated!

I had difficulty seeing what you posted, it looked like a 6x4 room which is only 24 sq/ft. I have done several 5x6 baths with a full 32x60 shower pan and it fits, snuggly. You do need to frame the walls to give you pipeing room and space for the mixing valve in the shower. You can use copper, PVC or PEX to supply your fixtures, shower needs at least 1/2" feeds.

I read 8'x 4' . It will be small ( the 4' side ) but it should be doable. Get the smallest round toilet and smallest wall hung sink. Neo-angle shower dimension is given. Yes, I think you can make nice 3/4 bath in the basement.

Thanks for the answers! Yes, the room is 8' x 4' - sorry about the small type. Concerning the framing around the shower, how critical is the location for the drain? The current drain is 18" away from both walls which I understand is fairly standard. If I frame the walls out, it will force the drain to not be centered. Is that a big deal? I've looked at some round front corner showers and the drain is around 7" or 8" from the sides. Is that a better way to go?

I have a 53*66 area, if needed can extend some space as its just roughin . Suggest what can be done, if we look for a small standing shower , with sink and lavetory.
