    Depressed Rabbit
    Yes really.
Well that's what it seems like.

Now over the last week/10 days the weather has been very wet and our rabbit hasn't been his normal bouncy self.
He's even been leaving carrots, which he normally demolishes with gusto.

I have a feeling it's the bad weather and the lack of contact with us that's making him down.
So what can we do to cheer him up ?

CurlyBen, rabbits are social animals, they do need interaction with their family members, otherwise depression can set it. Have you considered adopting another rabbit as a friend for your rabbit?

If you decide to go this route, let me know, I can give you the info to bond the two. Not all rabbits like to be together right away, but most can be bonded, it just takes a bit of time, effort and patience.

Also, is your rabbit outside all the time? If so, what kind of enclosure is he/she in?

Outdoor rabbits do have a shorter life expectancy then indoor rabbits, it's best if you alternate between the two.

How old is the rabbit? Is he/she/ altered? All these things could contribute.

Now, last but now least, if the non eating is accompanied by diarrhea, then take your bunny to the vet asap. Rabbits can contract an illness very quickly and die very quickly, it's best to rush your rabbit to the vet if it has watery poo or isn't eating and drinking regularly. Remember, rabbits cannot vomit, so diarrhea is usually the only sign of sickness.

Sorry for the long post, hope it helps. If not, I'm here if you need more help.:)
