But, what about the ones after 1964, F.B.E. that were made of composites of silver and something else? Do they count as being made of silver, or should we just let it go the 1964 was the last year for silver coins to be made?

Just curious as to your opinion.

    Thanks!

Clough - There is still a very little silver in the coins of today, But not like it was up till 1964. When they talk about silver coins now they always indicate 1964 & before. When it comes to silver coins now it is the proof coins with the high content of silver in them, you can get proof sets in reg metals, and platumn And silver.Which all the proof sets are minted at San fransico . Silver eagles ( $1.00 ) are minted at ( West point ,They do not have a mint mark on them. The STATE Quarters were struck at all three mints ,( P, D, S,)

Clough I hope this answers your question,If not let me know . Your friend ;; F.B.E. Have a very good day and GOD BLESS.
THE composition of coins since 1965- outer layers of ( copper-nickle){ copper.750,-.250nickle} bonded to inner corec of pure copper; silver proofs 1992-1998; same as pre 1965 standards. ::F.B.E.
