    can you instal any kind of flooring over existing ceramic tiles without removing the ceramic tiles? Thank you = your help is most appreiated at all times.

    Below is one article about vinyl over ceramic. I've never done it. Provided you get adhesion, the other big risk might be dropping something heavy, breaking a tile and not being able to get to it.

    Yes you can but you are raising the floor quite a bit. That could be an issue if this is a bathroom. Ceramic to ceramic would need thinset mortar, ceramic to plywood or backerboard would be modified thinset.
