Changing a light fixture on ceiling fan
I have a Hampton Bay 52" Huntington fan with attached 4 light light kit- I purchased a Hampton Bay single light/bowl type replacement kit- can't figure out how to wire it together- old assembly has a nine pin connector- new light has two wires- any suggestions- have callled Home Depot and they can't figure it out either

Did the old fan come with a cap to replace the light kit, in case you wanted to install the fan with no light at all?

We got the whole thing- took it back to home depot- needed to cut everything off the old kit-plug included, then rewire and hope the transformer and everything would fit into the smaller cap- decided it would just be easier to buy a ceiling fan from Hunter Douglas as no one at home depot could fix this and couldn't understand why Hampton Bay made new light fixtures that didn't have eletrical parts to fit

It probably could fit, it sounds like you were removing the wrong part.

But this way works better, Hunter are much better fans.
