Hi, I've got a problem.. my natural hair is a medium brown and I have dyed it 2 days ago with "loreal casting creme gloss" semi-permanent hair dye, because I wanted to make it slightly darker shade but it came out almost black! It looks red at the top and the rest of it is very very dark brown, I am very upset at the moment because I don't know what to do with it :( I know that the colour should fade out but I'm going on holidays in 2 weeks and I don't want to look a mess! I was wondering if I should go to the salon and ask them to dye it in a lighter shade of brown but I heard that it might make it even worse.

First, try this... Get a clarifying shampoo from a salon... not suave or one of those cheap brands! When you shampoo with the clarifying shampoo, add about a tablespoon or baking soda to it and make a paste... apply it as you always do when you shampoo... leave it on 10 minutes. Do this 5 or 6 times over a couple of days and see if that helps. If not, you will need to go to a salon and have the color removed. This can be pretty damaging so only ask them to lighten it enough to get a decent color you can live with for a while and work on it more after your vacation...
