Hello, I'm 24 n engaged, we want a baby, we had unprotected sex, and I really was hoping to get pregnant, but I never, I had a very light period which lasted for one day only..

U don't say how long you've been trying? Also if you had a very light period for one day and this isn't normal for you then I would suggest a p.test xx

Not everyone gets pregnant the first time they try. Even younger people can have a hard time. I would suggest you go to the doctor and get your ovulation schedule down and then make sure to do the unprotected sex on the days you ovulate.
