    60 tooth is fine...

    If you're finding the finish is chipping, put some blue painters tape on it, then mark your line.

    Regardless, the (good) laminate will destroy your blade. Be prepared to have it resharpened (if it's good quality) or toss if if it's a cheap one. Use a 10" saw if you can - blades are much cheaper.

    I agree with Xoanan. You can also flip the board and cut from the back side to reduce tear out and chipping.
