    Unclogging bathroom sink drain
Okay I have taken the drain apart to the wall. Everything seems clear up to the point where it makes a right angle. Can't find my snake but used an old tape measure to push through a bit. Since this clog is so far down the line from the sink could I try a good drain opener or am I going to have to find or go buy a snake? Any suggestions for a good drain opener? It seems to be a pretty solid clog. Thanks!

You should really have a snake in your tool kit. Take the trap apart and send your snake up into the wall,(see image) you will hit a bend just inside the wall but once you work around it you only should have to put out 5 or 6 feet more. Flush with a sink full of hot water. Good luck, tom

I actually have 2 drain snakes and a toilet snake. At some point my now 10 year old son decided he needed to borrow the drain snakes for some project he was working on... thats the last I have seen of them. Thanks, I'll try yo snake it out.

Wow that was a dirty, messy job! Bought a new snake that I will put under lock and key! Only had to go a couple of feet to hit the vent stack. The drain runs better than it has in 10 years. LOL!! Thanks!
