Why would my period be THIS late?
Hi. So this is the deal.

I'm 22 years old, and I have never used birth control pills. My boyfriend and I of over a year have sex regularly, and use condoms.

My period is 1 month late. I've been late before, so didn't think it was much- but a month? I took a home pregnancy test and the result was negative.

I feel completely normal. I don't think I'm under very much stress- then again I think I tend to think I'm never that stressed out.

This is very weird. Is there anyone who has any ideas as to what is going on?

PS. Yes, I followed the instructions of the home pregnancy test accurately.

Be careful hun, condoms are only 84% effective: it says so on the package!

Although I used condoms EVERY TIME, I STILL got pregnant. I didn't know it because I skipped a month, then only got it for a day. On that day, I was SO happy to have had my period, thinking I was not pregnant. The pregnancy test I took the week before was negative, but I ended up being pregnant. In the beginning, hormone levels are so low, the pregnancy can't be detected. It wasn't until the THIRD test that I got a positive, and had to run to the store to get more! I also found out that "One day" I had my period was actually called "spotting" and is perfectly normal for a pregnant woman to have :-(

The good thing is that if you catch the pregnancy early on, you have time to make the right decision... but don't take too much time, it WILL cost you!

Time to go to the doctor, get a blood test, find out why you're so late. You could be pregnant, for some women it takes longer to get a positive using an hpt.

FYI, condoms are a great backup birth control method, best bet is birth control pill and condom, even then it's not a 100% guarantee. The only surefire way to avoid pregnancy, don't have sex.

    Good lcuk.
