    What does -AC on the wall thermastat mean? It is a Chromotherm III. It will not turn off/on. I thought it was because I am on PeakCorps but it has been 18 hours now?

    –AC means there is NO AC power at the thermostat, check your fuses, breakers and furnace switch.
