    Steering/Handling loose
Lately, I have noticed the steering/handling on my 2004 Malibu has been "loose" and there is some movement in the steering wheel when driving at higher speeds. I won't call it a vibration but there is some play in steering wheel itself. I checked the tire inflation and it is fine.

What might be causing this and how serious is it? How expensive to repair?

    Thanks in advance!

Have you have the front end parts checked? It's possible you have a worn component. I would have a shop put it up on a lift and check it out.

Oh man, do I agree on this one. You already know something is not right. This is a safety concern so stop driving it and get it checked by the pro's ASAP!
The car's history should be told while it's being inspected. Like has it been in a wreck before? Has it had a steering rack replaced before? That way, it will help in diagnosis.
