    94 e.g. civic Start problem
Hi guys... I have a 94 e.g. civic hatch back 1.5 non vtec and well to the problem I went to change my ignition leads today car was starting perfect before.. but now when I connect up the ignition leads both old and new set the car won't start.. when all four are connected . So I removed one of the leads ( far right one when facing the engine ) and the car struggles but will start with only the three connected but when the fourth is inserted again no start does anyone have any help as to what could be the problem Thanks for any help guys

Hi I've already looked at that post very informative . But the car does start when you have three leads in obviously very poorly but will start which rules out igniters or coil as there is power going through and there are no ecu codes present either I have new leads also and new plugs it only won't start when they are all connected Could the distributer cap cause this..

You may have your spark plug wires connected wrong. Did you take off ALL wires, then went to connect them ALL back again, or did you do one by one? It's very easy to mess up the order if you take them off all at the same time.

Search online for "honda fire order" or something like that... you should find a picture. If you don't, I can make you one in about 10 hours.

Here it is... it's from a '90 Civic, but I think it should be the same for all Honda engines.
