On job application, answer yes or no to convicted of a crime?
When completing a job application, should I answer yes if I was covicted of a DUI.

If you were convicted then answer yes.

Sometimes the job application will ask if you have been convicted of a felony within the last 5 years, or 7 years. If this happened prior to the 5 or 7 years then the answer is no.

Some apps also include specific exceptions (I believe I've seen DUIs being one of them in a few job apps)

Exactly what does the application say, I don't think I ever saw one that said "ever convicted of a crime" What I see most of the time is have you ever been convicted of a felony or have you ever been convicted of a misdemeanor or a felony.

So was your DUI a misdemeanor or felony ? Normally first is a misdemeanor
But also always read the entire application before saying yes or no some depending on the position may ask a separate question about DUI esp if the job has to do with driving something.
