Attach the leash to your dogs collar for about 5-10 minutes a day and just let him/her walk around with it.Don't hold it or anything.Do this for about 1-2 days.He/she needs to get used to it before you attempt to walk him/her.

Then attach it and do mini walks out to the drive way and back.It he/she struggles don't pull hard right away.Let the pup get the feel.Eventually it will learn.

My dog freaked the heck out when I put a leash on him the first time and within a week he was walking like a pro.

    All dogs are different.

I'd give it a few more months or , you may be asking a five year old to understand what a dog wants when it scratches at the door
