I was prescribed birth control today Low-Ogesterol a generic for Lo-Ovral. My period is very irregular and unpredictable so I can't start it on the first day or a week after. So i took the first pill today. How long do i have to wait until I can start having sex without a condom and prevent pregnancy?

in other words if one begins to take the pill at any time when does it become effective against pregnancy?

You should not just start taking the pills. They should be taken the first Sunday after your period... you should just wait until it comes. If not, it will take longer for the pill to regulate your cycle.

And normally you need to wait after you have went thogh at least the first month of pills.

Plus even when taken properly ( none forgotten) they are not 100 percent,
