How do I go about contesting already filed uncontested divorce papers.
My soon to be ex-husband had an affair on our two year wedding anniversary. I was devistated and tried to work on the marriage. We have separated and he filed uncontested papers. I didn't know what I was signing and I was pressured by him to sign them. I have recently gone over the agreement and I have been duped. I am so scared and don't know what to do. Our court hearing is in two days and I need advice on how to have this document thrown out. I can't afford a lawyer due to all the debt I unknowingly took on. Please someone help me!!

You can't afford not to have an attorney. Some attorney's will wait for payment or get the other party to pay. But your ex has apparently gotten good legal advice and you need the same to combat him.

At the very least you go into court and recant your signature. Tell the judge you were distraught when your husband pressured you to sign the papers and after reviewing them you want to recant your signature.

The plain fact is you often can't afford not to have an attorney. But in the morning go down to the clerk of the court and ask if there is a way to withdraw your agreement.
