    Pregnancy and Swelling
My wrists have been swollen for about a week. This is quite painful, my joints on both wrists are very sore. I am 8 months pregnant is this normal?

You may want to call your doc to be safe. Are you having any swelling anywhere else?

I am not really having any swelling anywhere else other than the normal swelling of feet from day-to-day walking.

It can be very normal, but wise to give your doctor a call for a heads up. Many women will develop carpal tunnel during pregnancy because of the extra fluid. A few things to try and see if they help: prop your wrists up at night on pillows, wear a wrist splint, try an ice pack or frozen veggies on them off and on, avoid activities that require you to overuse them, and I have known some women who have found relief from acupuncture.
