I need help with my dog, He is a pit/boxer mix. 3/4 boxer. He isn't gaining weight very well and when he does he don't keep the weight very long. He will be three Aug. 3rd. My husband and I have tried everything, at one point we were mixing cooked hamburger meat with his dog food and that seemed to work well but when we stopped doing that then he just lost the weight again. I also have an Australian shepperd mix who seems to be doing fine with his weight. He will be two in Nov. Does anyone have any advice on what I should do or feed him? Please help. We were feeding him Pedigree and then switched to Purina kibbles and chunks, I believe. I don't know what else to do.:confused: He also will drink and drink and drink water like he's never had it before. He will literally drink water until he throws water up and then drink some more. Any suggestions on weight, etc?

You could have him tested for diabetes. Dogs get this too. He has two of the symptoms, eating problem and drinking water.
