I have an older SMC remote control ceiling fan. The control model number is RC-118. Two days ago the remote stopped working. I replaced the battery(9v) but still nothing. The remote is an IR unit and has a signal indicator light on the front. This light does not illuminate when I push either fan or light function buttons.
Can I get a replacement control from SMC or am I SOL?
